Virgin Mother Mary, who performed noble miracles by appearing in various locations in the world during different times, began to appear in Sri Lanka as well. On February 5th 1975, She appeared for the first time in Sri Lanka before The His Holiness the Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso. Since then, within the last forty-eight years, She appeared twenty-three times.
There is no end to the false hearsay and criticisms which began to spread and still spreading from the day Blessed Mother began to appear at Katunayake, Sri Lanka to this date. Yet, the apparition ground of Mother Mary located in the city of Katunayake, Sri Lanka, still exists. Blessed Virgin Mary dwells in this Shrine performing noble miracles not based on the status of the people arrive at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine but based on the status of the faith. The 5th February those noble miracles complete forty eighth year. It can be contently stated that people who are drawn to Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine are receiving many graces from Mother Mary. With a caring heart towards all and without caring any differences, in short, not even caring religious differences, His Holiness the Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, who mediates to ask help from Mother Mary for them, also resides in this Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, Sri Lanka
Up until now Most Holy Apostle has received the special blessing of seeing Blessed Mother Mary twenty-three times with His own eyes. On numerous times and in numerous instances, He has publically spoken about Mother Mary, whom He has seen with His own eyes.
On 28th of July 2019 evening, His Holiness the Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso described the way Blessed Virgin Mother Mary appeared in front of Him carrying Baby Jesus in Her hand. Among the twenty three times Mother Mary appeared in front of Holy Apostle that was the only instance She appeared carrying Baby Jesus in Her Hand. It is considered as one of the noble apparition of Mother Mary.
The words expressed by His Holiness the Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso regarding this noble apparition which took place on 27th July 1977, can be considered as one of the greatest sets of words expressed by him, who reminisced after forty-two years, the apparition of Blessed Virgin Mary with Baby Jesus. We now present below His words.
“Up until now, Blessed Virgin Mother Mary has appeared before me twenty-three times. On July 27th, 1977, She appeared in front of me carrying Baby Jesus. During the rest of the apparitions, She appeared alone. She appears before me on yellow roses, wearing a long white veil from head to the heel glowing as snow, and with a long cassock similarly white as snow, and also wearing a blue cincture similar to the colour in the sky, but glistering as snow and holding a dazzling golden rosary in Her right-hand elbow. On 27th July 1977, She appeared the same way in front of me, yet, up until now there was uniqueness on that day. Baby Jesus was on Her left hand.”
For those who read this, could doubt and could say, what wonders are those? Can we believe these stories? Even though they are reasonable questions, the clear answer we can give is “come and see for yourself”.
