DATE: 24th July 2023. An occasion was held on that day in the Apostolic Hall of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine to teach the first letters of education to a tiny child for the first time. His parents wished that their little child Nirmith Methsara should learn the first letters of the alphabet from His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso before he commence his educational activities. Mr. & Mrs. Ranga & Sanduni Perera of Ja-Ela are the parents of the little child. The Most Holy Apostle His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso joined the new couple Ranga & Sanduni, the parents of the little son, in marriage, and imparted His blessing for their newly wedded life. That was on 17th January 2019.
Mrs. Indrani Anasta, the grandmother of the tiny child Nirmith Methsara was also in the Apostolic Hall on that day to participate at the occasion. She is the mother of Mrs. Sanduni Perera, the mother of the tiny child. After His Holiness taught the first letters of the alphabet to the little child Nirmith Methsara, He blessed him and asked Mrs. Indrani Anesta, the grandmother of the little child to come towards Him. From a very long time, Mrs. Indrani Anesta was spending her life journey according to the teachings of His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso. She guided her daughter Sanduni Perera also on that path. She is now spending the autumn of her life under the protection of her daughter.
When she came towards His Holiness, she was by holding the hand of her daughter since she has some difficulty in walking. His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso stretched out His hands and held the hand of Mrs. Indrani Anesta and inquired from her, “why you are walking in difficulty?” Answering the question of His Holiness, she said, ‘Oh! Holy Father, now I am an old person. Now I am 67 years old.’ His Holiness with a smiling face told her, “don’t think like that. 67 is just a number, not an age.”
His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso will also complete 67 years on 2nd February 2024 in His life journey in this world. It is evident from the words of His Holiness, about His thinking on the life-span of a person without thinking the age, which reads in numbers. The Most Holy Apostle has taught us the importance of spending an active, virtuous life journey till the death by managing the time. His Holiness The Apostle has also taught us many things at various occasions.
