At the end of 2010 Christmas Midnight Holy Mass, the Holy Apostolic Father’s General Audience was held at Sts. Peter & Paul Garden. At this General Audience, a youth presented a Nice Christmas Gift to the Most Holy Apostolic Father, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso.
That Nice Christmas Gift was 5 pairs of Shoes, which was presented to the Holy Apostolic Father, by the Apostolic Media Spokesman, Mr. Sashika Silva. Those pairs of shoes were manufactured in Italy, in 5 different colours, to match the colours of Holy Apostolic Father’s Sacred Vestments.
On 31st December, we were able to see whether those shoes, which were presented to him were correctly fitting his feet, because on that day, at the New Year’s Eve Midnight Holy Mass, the Holy Apostolic Father was wearing one of the pair of shoes which was gifted to him.
