67 years ago, on 1st February 1957, precisely at 12.00 midnight, His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso was born into this world by touching this massive earth. Sri Lanka’s Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, where this Spiritual Leader resides, will be illuminated at the precise time of His Birth to celebrate His birthday. That is at 12 midnight, on 1st February 2024. Devotees who love His Holiness will assemble at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine notwithstanding the midnight to sing hymns praising His birth. Oil lamps will be lit to symbolize the number of years of His age. Flowers will be placed around His photo and candles also will be lit in front of His photo.
If any Noble person who lives in this world who is suitable to receive all these honours, yet, it is a custom to extend all these honours to that Noble person after He departs from this world. That is also after humiliating Him as much as possible, and disgracing Him and assassinating Him while He is among the living. That is the method which was so far happening. But devotes who have listened to the Homilies of His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, and received His blessing and reformed their lives, visits Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine every year in the midnight of 1st February notwithstanding the midnight and the distance to assemble in front of the photo of His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso and to sing hymns praising His birth and to light oil lamps to symbolize the number of years of His age and to place flower bouquets in front of His photo and to light candles to honour Him.
Devotees perform these rites because His HolinessThe Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso is totally suitable to receive all these honours. They are not foolish to wait till He departs from this world to extend all these honours to Him. His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, who lives among us even Today, was the Turning Point in many people’s lives.
Even though humans have eyes, they should have merits to see the Truth. Even though humans have ears, they should have merits to listen to the Truth!
