The help of the Blessed Virgin Mary is mostly needed today to the people who are living in this period. Sometimes, we think this situation has arisen since people are committing more sins. A sentence of the message that was delivered by the Blessed Mother Mary on 1st July 1978, when she appeared in the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake, for the 10th occasion is, as follows. “THE WORLD THAT MY SON HAS SAVED IS RAPIDLY MOVING TOWARDS SIN MORE THAN EVER BEFORE AND STEPPING INTO THE HANDS OF THE SATAN” The Blessed Mother had declared this message to the world 43 years ago. Elderly people, who remember 43 years ago period, will understand the warning that our Blessed Virgin Mary had given if they think for few moment. If we compare the society, we were living then and the society, we are living now, truly, we could easily understand the way people have stepped into sinning. If it is so, then, people have stepped into the hands of the Satan. Many people have stepped into the hands of the Satan and have embraced him.
Anyhow, our beloved Blessed Mother Mary has not forgotten us. She is exerting herself to redeem us from the clutches of the Satan and to grant us relief. Today, the Power of the Blessed Virgin Mary is scattering all over the world from the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake, in Sri Lanka. Blessed Virgin Mary has come so closer to the people, at a time when Her help is mostly needed to the people. She is stretching out Her sympathetic and privileges hands from the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake, to those who are reaching the Shrine.
A ‘Miraculous Prayer’ is offered every Saturday evening at the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake for the people who reach the Shrine to seek the help of the Mother of God. Due to the powerfulness of this ‘Miraculous Prayer’, people who participate in this Prayer in faith are receiving boundless help. Therefore, the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake is now well and widely known as the “Miraculous Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake”
