After completing 48 years in His Most Sacred Apostleship, His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso commenced His 49th New Apostolic Year on 7th February 2023.
His Holiness was consecrated as the 14th Apostle in the evening of 7th February 1975 by Lord Jesus Christ Himself by making His appearance in person at Sri Lanka’s Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine. His Holiness is also the 2nd Apostle of the world, who was appointed by Christ Himself by an appearance. Five days before His consecration anniversary, that means on 2nd February 2023, His Holiness completed 66 years in His life journey in this world, and celebrated His birth anniversary in the midst of warm greetings from scores of His devotees.
There are many Christian denominations in this world. Even though there is a leader belonging to all these each and every Christian denomination, all those leaders are chosen by a section of people in this world. Yet, a person is not chosen from this world for the position of ‘Apostleship’ by any group of humans in this world. Therefore, there is no organization whatsoever, anywhere in this world, for a person to undergo a training in advance to become an Apostle.
Lord Jesus Christ Himself chooses a person from this world for the position of Most Sacred Apostleship. Since Christ is not among the living during this period we live, Christ Himself chooses a person for this Most Sacred position by making His appearance in person in this world. Accordingly, Apostle Paul was the 1st Apostle who was chosen by Christ by making His appearance in person in this world.
Apostle Paul could not perform long time the main duty of His position, mainly preaching the Good News, because the people who were then living, caught Him and murdered Him prematurely by severing His head from His body. But today, by now, there are many churches, various organizations, and many schools have been erected in His name. Devotees in numbers make yearly pilgrimage to the massive church, which was built at the very spot where Apostle Paul’s body was laid to rest after He was murdered.
In an environment where all these things are taking place, His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, who was chosen by Lord Jesus Christ by making His appearance once again in person in this world, and who is still among the living, completed 48 years of His Apostolic Consecration on 7th February 2023, which He received from Christ Himself. This Most Sacred, great happening was officially celebrated on 18th February 2023. This Most Sacred Anniversary was very grandly celebrated at Sri Lanka’s Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, where Lord Jesus Christ made His appearance in person. A massive gathering of people who arrived from different parts of the island were seen attending this most sacred event.
