On this same earth where we have placed our feet, there was a time when Lord Jesus Christ also placed his feet when he was living on this earth. That was 2000 years ago. It is stated in the Holy Bible that Lord Jesus Christ had chosen 12 Apostles during that period.
“Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to Him those He wanted, and they came to Him. He appointed twelve‐designating them Apostles” (Mark 3/13‐14) “These are the names of the twelve Apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Him” (Matthew 10/2‐4)
You would have noticed by now, among these 12 Apostles who were chosen by Lord Jesus Christ, another name of an Apostle which is coming out from your mouth is not recorded in the register of Apostles. He is Apostle Paul.
Why is the name of Apostle Paul not recorded in the above mentioned register of Apostles? What was the reason? The register of Apostles contains the names of Apostles who were chosen by Lord Jesus Christ, while he was living on this earth.
If it is so, then, how did Paul became an Apostle? Paul became an Apostle because Lord Jesus Christ Himself, appointed Him, as an Apostle. It happened after Christ’s death and 3 days after He rose from the death and 40 days after He ascended into heaven.
How did Lord Jesus Christ, after He ascended into heaven, made Paul, who was living on this earth at that time, as an Apostle? Certainly, it was a very rare happening. Lord Jesus Christ appeared in the City of Damascus in Syria to choose Apostle Paul to the Most Sacred Apostleship. ‘Apostle Paul’ is the 1st Apostle who was chosen by Lord Jesus Christ by appearing in this world.
This very rare happening, which took place for the 1st time in the history, was repeated in the City of Katunayake, in Sri Lanka, on 7th February in 1975 AD. That was by choosing His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, to the Most Sacred Apostleship.
There were another 12 Apostles living in this world at the time when Christ chose Apostle Paul, by appearing in this world. By that time, out of the 12 Apostles who were chosen by Lord Jesus Christ while He was living in this world, Judas Iscariot had committed suicide. Therefore, it is significant that Lord Jesus Christ chose Apostle Paul by an appearance, while the remaining 11 Apostles were still living on this earth.
By 7th February 1975, there were only statues and pictures of these Apostles and the massive churches, erected at the places where they have been buried. At that time, even a single incorrupt body of an Apostle was not remaining on this earth. Therefore, Apostles were registered in the minds of people as a group of people only belonged to the past.
His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, who was chosen by Lord Jesus Christ by appearing, once again, in this world and who is still living even today, in the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake, in Sri Lanka, perplexes such minds of people. Some are still bewildered at this strange incident and in the meantime, some are receiving the Blessing of this One and Only Apostle, who is living in this world.
This is the precise spot, where Jesus Christ appeared in the Apparition Church of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, Sri Lanka in person before His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso. When Christ appeared, He consecrated Him to the Most Sacred Apostleship, on Friday 7th February 1975 at about 6.30 in the evening
