On 2nd February 2011, the Most Holy Apostolic Father, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, will be completing 54 years in his journey of life in this world, and he will be stepping into his 55th year. He was born in the midnight of 1st February 1957, with every comfort. Due to his family’s wealth, he was fortunate to born into a luxurious life style. He got the opportunity to continue his luxurious life style for a period of 18 years.
His Holiness the Apostolic Father celebrated his 18th birthday on 2nd February 1975, and 3 days after he celebrated his 18th birthday, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared before him on 5th February 1975.
On that day, when he got to know from Blessed Mother that he has been specially chosen by God, for and on behalf of the whole world, maybe, His Holiness the Apostolic Father would have thought to himself about the enormous responsibility which he is going to receive.
Anyhow, the Most Holy Apostolic Father understood that the first priority is to bow his head to the will of God, and 2 days after he got that message from Blessed Mother, he was fortunate to receive the Most Sacred Apostleship from Lord Jesus Christ himself. By consecrating His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, to the Most Sacred Apostleship, by Lord Jesus Christ, an Apostle was added among the Apostles who are chosen and appointed by Lord Jesus Christ himself, by appearing in this world. Before this, Apostle Paul was chosen and appointed as an Apostle, by Lord Jesus Christ, by appearing in this world.
Lord Jesus Christ appeared in the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake, in the evening of 7th February 1975, and appointed the Most Holy Apostolic Father, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, as an Apostle. When His Holiness the Apostolic Father was consecrated to the Most Sacred Apostleship by Lord Jesus Christ Himself, at that very moment itself, His Holiness Apostolic Father received a very special opportunity from Lord Jesus Christ. The very special opportunity he received was to put his right hand fore-finger into the Most Sacred Stigmatic wounds of Lord Jesus Christ. He was allowed to do that by Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Before this, the only Apostle who received a similar opportunity was Apostle Thomas and Apostle Thomas also received that permission from Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible gives a detailed description of that happening.
On 2nd February 2011, the Most Holy Apostolic Father, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, who will be completing 54 years in his journey of life in this world, will be stepping into his 55th year, and on 7th February 2011, His Holiness the Apostolic Father will be completing 36 years in his journey of Apostolic Life in this world, and will be stepping into his 37th Apostolic Year.
