I was hoping to sit for the 2010 G.C.E. (Advanced Level) Examination, in science subjects. But just 7 months before the exam, I met with an unexpected accident. Therefore, all my studies came to a standstill, and I was bedridden for 3 months. From my younger days onwards, my main ambition was to be a Doctor. Therefore, I did my studies accordingly, with a firm determination. My teachers also had a high expectation with regard to my results. But due to the unexpected motor accident, all our hopes were shattered.
Even though I went to school with great difficulty after taking treatments for 3 months, I could not catch up the studies which I missed due to the accident. Therefore, I didn’t feel like going to school even, yet, even though not every day, I went occasionally. But there were hardly any time to go to school even, because school vacation was about start to prepare for the exam.
In the meantime, I came to know about the Miraculous Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake and about the Holy Apostolic Father, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, who helps everybody, from Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine. I began to attend religious services at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, every Saturdays. I also handed over my request letters to the Holy Apostolic Father, once a week, and received his Apostolic Blessing also.
Anyhow, I sat for the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination in August 2010. The question paper which I received at the exam was not so difficult to me because I have prepared for those particular questions as well.
At the examination I was able to obtain excellent results over all the other students in my class, who went to school every day. I was qualified to enter the medical college.
I bow my head, devotedly, and thank the Holy Apostolic Father, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, who blessed me every week and who forwarded my request to the Mother of God.
