This year’s Feast of the Holy Cross will be celebrated in the Apparition Church of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, at 4.00 pm in the evening of Saturday 9th April 2011. The Feast of the Holy Cross will be presided over by the Most Holy Apostolic Father, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso.
At the conclusion of the High Mass, the Most Holy Apostolic Father will bless all devotees from the Most Sacred Cross. At the moment when he blesses the people from this Most Sacred Cross, the Most Holy Apostolic Father will pronounce the words that were taught to him by the Blessed Virgin Mary Herself, 36 years ago.
This Most Sacred Cross, which belongs to Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, will be placed for the view and veneration after the Most Holy Apostolic Father blesses the people from this Most Sacred Cross. People will be able to view and to venerate this Most Sacred Cross only once a year. They will also receive an opportunity not only to see Glorious Miraculous Signs from this Most Sacred Cross, but also to obtain Help and abundant Graces.
