During the period of this year’s Passion of Lord Jesus Christ, the Most Holy Apostolic Father, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, completes 4 years, since he received the Most Sacred Stigmatic Wounds of Lord Jesus Christ, for the 3rd time.

The Most Holy Apostolic Father received the Most Sacred Stigmatic Wounds of Our Lord Jesus Christ, for the 3rd time, in the year 2007, during the period of Passion of Lord Jesus Christ. By receiving the Most Sacred Stigmatic Wounds, he bore the suffering of Christ and at that moment he was in a state of a severe pain. On 13th March 2007, in the evening, the Most Sacred Stigmatic Wounds were surfaced in his both hands and he bore the Most Sacred Stigmatic Wounds of Lord Jesus Christ until the morning of Easter Sunday, 8th April 2007. He was suffering immensely due to the Most Sacred Stigmatic Wounds, and a large no of devotees were gathered around him.

Especially, in the night of Maundy Thursday, when he came to the Shrine Ground of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine to pray along with devotees, he was in a state of a severe pain and everybody at that moment remembered, the 1st night of Maundy Thursday, when Lord Jesus Christ began his Passion in the Garden of Gethsemane. It seems that the Most Holy Apostolic Father was used as an equipment to show the world, the suffering, which Lord Jesus Christ Himself underwent, in that night.

When he came to the Shrine Ground to pray along with devotees, the Most Holy Apostolic Father, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, was in a state of a severe pain, and devotees who gathered around him prayed with tears filled eyes. His both hands were swollen because he was having the Most Sacred Stigmatic Wounds of Lord Jesus Christ and his face was also seen swollen.

Photos which were taken at the moment when the Most Holy Apostolic Father bore the Most Sacred Stigmatic Wounds of Lord Jesus Christ, is as presented below
