All arrangements have been finalized for the exposition of a Most Powerful Sacred Cross, which belongs to Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine. This Most Powerful Cross is the Miraculous Statue of the Holy Cross of Lord Jesus Christ. This Most Sacred Cross will be placed for the view and veneration, at the end of the High Mass of the Holy Cross, which will be celebrated on Saturday, 9th April 2011.
At the conclusion of the High Mass, the Most Holy Apostolic Father, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, will arrive at the Feet of this Most Powerful Miraculous Holy Cross and at the same time the exposition of the Most Sacred Cross will be declared opened by him.
The Most Holy Apostolic Father will kneel and pray at the Feet of this Miraculous Statue of the Holy Cross, for few moments, and after that people will be allowed to view and to venerate it.
Devotees are able to see wonderful Live Signs, once a year, from this Most Powerful Sacred Cross of Lord Jesus Christ and they believe that they have received this special blessing, from Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
Not only that, they have also received help and abundant graces by praying at the Feet of this Most Sacred Cross. People who were suffering from ailments have also got cured by praying at the Feet of this Cross. This Most Powerful Statue of the Holy Cross will be placed for the view and veneration only once a year. In this year, 2011, the High Mass to commemorate the placing of this Most Scared Statue of the Holy Cross for the view and veneration, will be celebrated in the Apparition Church of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, in the evening at 4 00 pm, on Saturday 9th April. The Apostolical High Mass is scheduled to be presided over by the Most Holy Apostolic Father, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso.
