Rosary Vespers for Blessed Mother was conducted before the Statue of Blessed Mother, placed in the Shrine Ground of Our Lady of Katunayake. Holy Apostle, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, arrived before the Statue of Blessed Mother, at 6.30 pm, on 5th October 2013, to offer Rosary Vespers for Blessed Mother, the Our Lady of Katunayake.
Dressed in gold colour vestments, and a mitre, which was matching the colours of his vestments, the Holy Apostle, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, holding his Apostolical Shepherd Crozier in his hands, arrived before the Statue of Blessed Mother. The Holy Apostle, who arrived before the Statue of Blessed Mother, across the Shrine Ground, imparting his blessings to the people, was seen praying before the Statue of Blessed Mother, silently, for a considerable amount of time.
The Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake, currently under reconstruction, is the One and Only Shrine in Sri Lanka, where the Blessed Virgin Mary has appeared. The life size Statue of Blessed Mother, placed in the Shrine Ground, is expected to be placed at an upper position on the face of the newly constructed Apparition Church, to facilitate the ongoing reconstruction work.
Rosary Vespers, presided over by the Holy Apostle, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, was proudly offered to the Blessed Mother on Saturday 5th October 2013, before this Statue was removed from the location where it was placed.
