The 57th Birthday of the Most Holy Apostle, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, falls on 2nd February 2014. The Most Holy Apostle was born to this world, 57 years ago, precisely at 12 midnight, on 1st February.
The solemn High Mass to celebrate the Birthday of the Most Holy Apostle will be conducted in the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake, on Saturday, 1st February at 11.30 pm. The solemn High Mass will be presided over by the Most Holy Apostle, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso.
This year 1st February falls on a Saturday. Therefore, the Saturday Holy Mass, which is usually celebrated at 4pm at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, will not be held on 1st February due to the solemn High Mass which is scheduled to be conducted to celebrate the Birthday of the Most Holy Apostle.
This is the 1st occasion where a midnight solemn High Mass is scheduled to be held to celebrate the Birthday of the Most Holy Apostle.
The administrative committee of the Shrine hopes that all those who are affectionate to the Most Holy Apostle will participate at this occasion.
