The solemn High Mass, offered to mark the 57th Birthday of the Most Holy Apostle, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, was commenced at 11.30 pm on 1st February 2014. This solemn High Mass was commenced 11.30 pm on 1st February 2014 because the Most Holy Apostle was born to this world, 57 years ago, on 1st February, precisely at 12 midnight.
The Most Holy Apostle offered the solemn High Mass in the midst of people who arrived from various places. At this solemn High Mass, people were enthusiastic to receive Holy Communion from the sacred arms of the Most Holy Apostle and they were also enthusiastic to greet him at the end of the General Audience, held at the conclusion of this solemn High Mass. Therefore, when the celebrations ended it was passed wee hours of 2nd February.
People gathered at the entrance of the Holy Apostles Peter & Paul garden until the Most Holy Apostle leaves the garden after concluding the General Audience, held as a part of 57th birthday celebrations of the Most Holy Apostle.
At the end of the General Audience, the Most Holy Apostle, before leaving Holy Apostles Peter & Paul garden went to the midst of people who converged at the entrance of the Holy Apostles Peter & Paul garden and stretched his arms and smilingly greeted them.
