In the night of 31st December 2015, devotees reached Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine from various places without considering the distance, to receive the love of Lord Jesus Christ, the protection of Blessed Mother Mary and to receive the blessing of His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, before they begin their activities in the newly dawned year.
At the end of the New Year’s Eve midnight Holy Mass, Apostle Aponso came before devotees since they were eagerly expecting his arrival.
Subsequently, the Most Holy Apostle presented a one hundred rupee note along with a New Year’s greeting card to devotees.
Nobody was aware that the Most Holy Apostle was going to perform such an act. This Apostle, who helps those, whose hopes are shattered, is naturally does things that nobody could expect and nobody could imagine. He does it to make people happy. People were overjoyed to receive the one hundred rupee note along with a New Year’s greeting card in the wee hours of the newly dawned year from the Most Holy Apostle.
Speaking briefly at the occasion, Apostle Aponso told the devotees to keep the one hundred rupee note in their possession throughout the newly dawned year and to donate it to a needy, in the last week of the year.
