Lord Jesus Christ himself chooses a person from the world to consecrate him as an Apostle. This has happened while he was among the living and it has also happened twice, after he ascended into Heaven.

Christ chose Apostle Paul by appearing in this world, in the city of Damascus in Syria, after he ascended into Heaven. After 2000 years of Apostle Paul’s consecration to the Most Sacred Apostleship, Lord Jesus Christ once again appeared in this world, in the city of Katunayake, in Sri Lanka to consecrate His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, to the Most Sacred Apostleship.

The period existing today, is not similar to the period that was existing when Lord Jesus Christ consecrated Apostle Paul over 2000 years ago. Today, people who are following the Gospel of Christ are shattered into various denominations. Therefore, in such a period, the Sun dawned on 7th February 1975, to make His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso to prepare himself to face Lord Jesus Christ for his Consecration to the Most Sacred Apostleship.

His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, who was consecrated to the Most Sacred Apostleship by Lord Jesus Christ himself, in the evening of 7th February 1975, completed 41 years of His Apostolic Consecration on 7th February 2016. This Most Sacred Apostolic Blessing, which could be imparted Only by an Apostle Himself, was imparted on 7th February 2016, by the Most Holy Apostle to the pilgrims, at the evening Solemn Vespers, presided over by him, at the Apparition Ground of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
