A new day dawns when earth turns one round. Likewise, the day that was dawned on 7th February 1975, was a Most Sacred Day to the millions of people who were living in this world on that day. Yet, nobody was aware that it was such a Sacred Day. The God Almighty came to this world on Christmas day bearing a human body. This same God Almighty appeared secretly, in person, in this world around 6.30pm Sri Lankan time to consecrate an Apostle to the world. This time, the God Almighty consecrated His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, as an Apostle, by appearing in person, in the city of Katunayake, in Sri Lanka.
Lord Jesus Christ appeared in this world for the 1st time after he ascended into Heaven to consecrate Apostle Paul to the Most Sacred Apostleship. Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, became the 2nd Apostle, who was consecrated to the Most Sacred Apostleship by Lord Jesus Christ himself, who appeared in person, in the evening of 7th February 1975, in the city of Katunayake, in Sri Lanka. His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso made several records in the history of Most Sacred Apostleship, by becoming the 2nd Apostle, consecrated by Lord Jesus Christ himself, by appearing in this world, in person, after He ascended into Heaven.
At the very moment when Lord Jesus Christ consecrated this New Apostle, Christ himself gave the opportunity to this newly consecrated Apostle, to insert a finger of his right hand into the Most Sacred Stigmatic wounds in His palms. Our Most Holy Apostle His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso became the 2nd Apostle, to receive this Most Sacred opportunity. Apostle Thomas was the 1st Apostle who received this Most Sacred opportunity. Not only that, when Lord Jesus Christ appeared in person, before the Most Holy Apostle His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, he appeared by placing his feet on a piece of white cloth. And when he left the world after consecrating this New Apostle to the world, the Imprint of His Feet got miraculously imprinted on the piece of the white cloth that was spread for him to appear before Apostle Aponso. This “Most Sacred Cloth of the Foot Prints of Lord Jesus Christ” is placed even today in the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake.
On 7th February 2016, His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso completed 41 years of His consecration as an Apostle by Lord Jesus Christ himself. An evening Solemn Vespers, presided over by His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, was conducted on 7th February 2016, at the Apparition Ground of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine to celebrate that Most Sacred Day, and that Most Sacred Moment. At this , Solemn Vespers, pilgrims knelt before the Most Holy Apostle His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, the 2nd Apostle who was consecrated by Lord Jesus Christ himself, by appearing in this world, in person, after He ascended into Heaven, to obtain His Most Sacred Apostolic Blessing while he is still among the living. Otherwise, some day, when they have to depart from this world, either they have to depart without receiving His Most Sacred Apostolic Blessing, or to receive His blessing, from His Statue, as it is now happening in many places, where receiving a blessing of an Apostle is concerned.
