The newly sculptured Statue of Jesus on the Cross was blessed by His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, on Saturday evening 17th September 2016, at the Apparition ground of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso is the 1st Apostle in the world, who has blessed a Statue of Jesus on the Cross.
The blessing of this 9-foot-tall Statue of Jesus on the Cross was conducted at the Apparition ground of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
The evening Solemn Vespers, presided over by the Most Holy Apostle, was conducted after the Holy Apostle blessed the Statue of Jesus on the Cross. During this evening Solemn Vespers, most of the devotees who were converged, were able to see Live Miraculous Signs emanating on and off from this Statue of Jesus on the Cross. Absolutely, it was a most miraculous view.
