Our beloved Holy Apostle His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso will celebrate his 60th Birthday on 2nd February 2017. The Festive High Mass to celebrate the 60th Birth Anniversary of His Holiness the Apostle, who was born 60 years ago, will be conducted precisely at 11.30 pm, on Wednesday, 1st February, on the Apostolic Tomb, situated in Sts. Peter & Paul Apostolic garden of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine. The Festive High Mass will be officiated by His Holiness the Apostle. The mortal remains of the late Mrs. Margret Aponso, the Mother, who gave birth to the Most Holy Apostle, is presently placed in this Apostolic Tomb.
His Holiness the Apostle was born, 60 years ago, on 1st February 1957, precisely at 12.00 midnight. His parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Aponso, the affluent businessmen, who were then living in that area.
The Most Holy Apostle has inherited a massive wealth by his birth. Yet, even today, he does not utilize the offerings that are offered by the devotees for his personal up keep. Not only that, he even spends his personal wealth for the general maintenance of the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake.
His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, the Only Apostle, who is presently living in this world, is the 2nd Apostle, who was chosen and appointed to this world, by Lord Jesus Christ himself, by appearing in this world, in person.
Devotees who arrive at the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake to participate in the Festive High Mass which will be conducted to celebrate the Birth Anniversary of His Holiness the Apostle, will be permitted to enter Sts. Peter & Paul Apostolic garden only from 10.30 pm up to 11.15 pm, and after that the gates of Sts. Peter & Paul Apostolic garden will be closed. Therefore, devotees who hope to participate in the Festive High Mass should arrive early.
Devotees will be allowed to enter Sts. Peter & Paul Apostolic garden only up to 11.15 pm, and those who arrive late, will have to view the ceremonies in Sts. Peter & Paul Apostolic garden from the Tv screen, which will be installed at the Shrine ground of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
