The Only Statue of Mother of God in the world that emanates Aroma of Jasmines, will be exhibited at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, on 24th & 31st December. This was announced by His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, on 7th November 2017.
This is the Only Statue of Blessed Virgin Mary, which was taken to Her sacred arms, when She appeared in this world.
Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine is the First and the Only Shrine in Sri Lanka, where the Blessed Mother Mary has appeared. So far, She has appeared for 23 times and the number of Miracles that has taken place is uncountable.
His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, who was exceptionally fortunate to see the Blessed Mother to His own eyes, is residing in this Shrine. The Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake was the place that Lord Jesus Christ chose to appear in this world to consecrate His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso to the Most Sacred Apostleship. That Most Sacred occasion took place on 7th February in 1975 A.D.
His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso will offer this year’s Christmas midnight Holy Mass, on Sunday 24th December at 11.30 pm, and New Year Festive High Mass, on Sunday 31st December at 11.30 pm, from a special dais, which will be erected in the apparition ground of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
The Only Statue of Blessed Virgin Mary in the world that emanates Aroma of Jasmines, will be exhibited for a period of one hour, on a special dais, in Holy Apostles Peter & Paul garden of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, in Sri Lanka, on 24th December, at the end of Christmas Festive High Mass, and on 31st December, at the end of New Year Festive High Mass.
Devotees will be given the opportunity to venerate this Statue and to feel the Aroma of Jasmines that is emanating from this Most Amazing Statue of Blessed Virgin Mary, during the period, when this Statue is placed to exhibit.
