The Most Blessed Virgin Mother Mary appeared at the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake, not only for Once, Twice or Thrice, but for 23 Times, on Yellow Roses. The total Roses are 123 in numbers.
In Sri Lanka, the Blessed Virgin Mary selected Roses to appear at the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake. The total number of Roses she selected was 123.
We knew from the beginning the Immaculate Virgin Mary has appeared on Yellow Roses. Yet, we got to know only recently that the total Roses were 123 in numbers. That was revealed due to a certain Miracle that has taken place. From there onwards, the ritual of lighting 123 Apparition Rose Candles at the Feet of the Blessed Mother Mary commenced. Yet, on Saturday 4th November 2017 for the first time, a person lit 123 Rose Candles, at the Feet of the Mother of God by spending out of her hard earned money. The Directress of J. M. L Technic Ja-Ela, Ms Manoji Dias, was the person who did that. This is what she has stated in the letter which she has handed over to our Shrine.
“When I came to know that our beloved Immaculate Mother Mary of Katunayake has appeared before the Most Holy Apostle on 123 Yellow Roses, I thought it will be an exceptional honour that we are showing to the Blessed Mother, if we could also light 123 Rose Candles.
Moreover, there is another special reason for that. Our company J. M. L Technic will celebrate its 10th Anniversary in this year 2017. We know very well that our business grew day by day and became where it is now, with the assistance and the blessings of our beloved Immaculate Mother of Katunayake and the power and glory of our beloved 14th Apostle. As the Directress of J. M. L Technic, me and my father Justice of Peace Mr. Mervin Joseph Dias and my mother Mrs. Jennet Silvia Dias, we light these 123 candles to honour the Immaculate Mother of Katunayake”.
