We proudly announce, His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, had reflected that the Apparition Church, built in the premises of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, in fulfilling a request made by Blessed Virgin Mother Mary, will be handed over to Her on Saturday 11th August at 6 p.m.
His Holiness The Apostle made this blessed announcement when He met a group of devotees on Saturday evening 15th June in Holy Apostles Peter and Paul garden of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
Our Blessed Mother has made Her live appearance before His Holiness The Apostle so far, for 23 times at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine and at Her 16th apparition, the Blessed Mother addressed His Holiness the Apostle and stated as follows: “My Dear Child! Build a small Church in this place and dedicate it to my name. It is my noble desire. Then, I promise to grant abundant graces to those who participate in these Liturgical Celebrations”.
This request and the promise of the Blessed Mother was reminded by His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso and He further reflected that this was the shortest message embodying Her great desire and a promise to Him, when comparing to various messages delivered by Her to Him, by addressing Him.
The newly built Apparition Church will be handed over to the Blessed Virgin Mary on Saturday 11th August. That day will be a “Day of Granting Special Graces” and there is a possibility that it will continue for several days, reflected His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso.
