On 17th January, Ranga and Sanduni from Ja-ela began their matrimonial journey surrounded by the Elders reside at Aloka Elders Home Panadura and the wedding mass of the newly married couple was conducted by His Holiness the Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso.
In the sermon of the nuptial mass His Holiness the Apostle addressed the new couple and advised that it is common to have certain small disagreements in this newly united journey taken by two individuals but it is essential to discuss and solve the difficulties together as one. His Holiness the Apostle, also emphasized the importance of not dragging the family problems and not involving external parties as parents and friends to private matters. His Holiness the Apostle further reflected that if appropriate steps are not taken at the suitable moment minor issues might grow critical and therefore it is necessary to maintain a loving atmosphere where any matter can be discussed.
His Holiness the Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso seated the newlyweds Ranga and Sanduni next to him and addressed them like a loving father. His Holiness the Apostle stated that when discussing any issue, it should not discussed by looking at a computer, television or mobile phone but by gazing into their spouse’s eyes. The couple was also informed by His Holiness the Apostle that not one, but both should feel satisfied and victorious when solving a family issue and sometimes it requires the sacrifice or offering of one party.
Love is hidden in dedication and bounteousness, said His Holiness the Apostle and advised the wedded couple to resolve every disagreement before going to bed.
On the 17th of January 2019 at Aloka Elders Home, Pinwatta, Panadura a Christian couple had their wedding ceremony in an elder’s home for the first time in Sri Lankan history and it could be the first time in world history as well.
As a teaching of Jesus Christ, the wedded couple was directed by His Holiness the Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso Himself to start the most memorable day of their marital journey meritoriously with wisdom and to celebrate this significant day by offering the wedding banquet to the elders neglected from the society and left alone by their children and from their houses, rather than madly inviting and giving a grand banquet for their own relatives and colleagues who already have enough foodstuff.
