The birthday of Rashen Supeshala Bandara, the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Nilnuwan Bandara from Negambo, was held on 8th February.
Unlike other years, Rashen who studies at Gateway International College Negombo, did not ask anything for himself for his birthday from his parents.
Instead he requested an opportunity to offer a meal to the elderly parents reside at Aloka elders home in Pinwatta, Panadura.
Rashen is performing duties as an alter server of His Holiness the Apostolic Father Rohan Lalith Aponso at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine. Also he was baptized by His Holiness the Apostolic Father.
By being connected with Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine since birth and through listening to the sermons of His Holiness the Apostolic Father, Rashen was achieving great spiritual enlightenment for his life. He has seen His Holiness the Apostolic Father offering lunch for the elders at Aloka elders home for the Apostolic Father’s birthday. Following the similar path, on his birthday he offered morning- evening meals for the same elders. It is truly commendable he made this the best birthday gift possible by making the elders happy by offering a meal.
His Holiness the Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso who shows the righteous path not only through sermons but also through example remain a true beacon for all. It is the wish of the Apostolic Media Network for Rashen Supeshala Bandara who lights the lives of the vulnerable through the light of that beacon, to receive abundant blessings of His Holiness the Apostolic Father.
