The victims of the floods due to heavy rains on May 2016 were consisted of various social communities. While all the victims were distressed, His Holiness the Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso without asking aid from anyone spent hundred thousands of rupees from His own personal money for the welfare of the victims. His Holiness the Apostle brought dry food and stocked them in a lorry, searched for casualties going place to place and distributed the provisions among the victims.
His Holiness the Apostle only searched for people who were suffering and who needed subsidies, without checking for ethnicity and religion of the vulnerable victims. The following pictures show His Holiness the Apostle distributing aid to Muslim civilians as well.
