Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine is the Only Shrine in Sri Lanka, where Blessed Virgin Mary has appeared. She has appeared at this Shrine, in person, for 23 times. Out of these appearances, at the 9th appearance, which took place on 11th February 1975, the Blessed Mother delivered the following message in which She has mentioned that it is Her own desire to distribute God’s graces to all those who participate in the Liturgical Celebrations, conducted by His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, in faith. Following are Her own words. “It is my desire to distribute God’s graces through you, to those who are participating in these Liturgical Celebrations in faith.”
After receiving this message, all those who participate in the Liturgical Celebrations of His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, in faith, are amazingly receiving help and graces irrespective of racial or religious differences.
From the time of our birth, our loving Blessed Virgin Mother Mary is our most powerful consolation. She is making Her appearance, in person, among us and granting us solace from the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake, in Sri Lanka. His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso is guiding us and directing us to receive the maternal love of the Blessed Mother.
The Prayer which was written by His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, who was fortunate to receive the blessed opportunity to see the Blessed Virgin Mother Mary to His own eyes for 23 times, has become a pleasant prayer to the Blessed Mother. We say this due to number of abundant graces devotees are receiving even today, by Reciting this Prayer.
This Prayer is not a prayer which can be recited at any place, on any day. There are certain procedures implemented for the recital of this prayer. This Prayer should be recited once a week and the stipulated day to recite this prayer is, on Saturday at 5 pm. The Recital of this prayer has to be conducted in front of the Statue of Blessed Virgin Mother Mary established at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, where She has made Her appearance, in person. A Statue of Blessed Virgin Mother Mary has been supplied by His Holiness The Apostle Himself to the devotees for this purpose. On all Saturdays when this Miraculous Prayer is recited before this Statue, devotees could see Signs of Life emanating from this Statue, miraculously. During this Miraculous Prayer Recite, those who are participating in it, have to raise a request letter before this Statue stating the special help they required. That letter has to be inserted into the Red Box in front of the Statue of Blessed Mother. Letter writing papers and envelops issued by the Shrine have to be used for this purpose.
As usual, on next Saturday too at 5 pm, this Miraculous Prayer will be recited at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, in Sts. Peter & Paul garden. If you wish to participate in this Miraculous Prayer Recite, you have to be present at 4.30 pm, at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, The One & Only Shrine in Sri Lanka, where Blessed Virgin Mother Mary has made Her appearance, in person. Devotees will be allowed to enter Sts. Peter & Paul garden from 4.30 pm onwards.
Devotees who converged at the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake from various places, on 1st June 2019 (last Saturday) to seek solace of Our Lady of Katunayake, received the opportunity to enter Holy Apostles Peter & Paul garden to recite the ‘Miraculous Prayer’ to the Blessed Mother Mary together with His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, who composed this prayer and who had especially received the fortunate opportunity to see the Blessed Virgin Mary for 23 occasions.
