From a couple of years, His Holiness the Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso has attended the final moments of various people who were departing this world and the dying moment of a person or the moment a person cease the act of breathing represent a crucial occasion, His Holiness the Apostle stated to the devotees gathered at Holy Apostles Peter & Paul garden of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine on Saturday, November 17th 2018.
The devotees assembled to attend the Holy Mass commemorating all who departed from this world, conducted by His Holiness the Apostle in a drizzling climate.
His Holiness the Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso stated the moment of ceasing the act of breathing or letting out the final breath, is approaching for all us’ lives; even if it happens during sleep, next morning we have to set out and attire at the embalming room. He interpreted with numerous examples that according to the way one spent the life, he has to close his eyes with joy or with great fear.
His Holiness the Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso asked the devotees who were listening assembled in front of Him to perform an activity. He asked the devotees to elevate their right hand and lower it, next, to raise their left hand and to lower it, to turn their neck to right and to left. His Holiness the Apostle questioned didn’t’ the right hand, left hand and neck performed all the activity because they were alive and carried out all the activities only because there was body energy to perform.
A person, who immobilized as a result of paralysis does not have the ability to engage in such activity due to inactivity of a whole section in the body, expressed His Holiness the Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso. He further descriptively stated that in the moment of death, it feels as every energy distributed among all the body parts such as hands and legs drawing to one place; at that moment many become terrified and some feel great comfort. Attaining the full attention of the devotees He stated along with that, everything one completed in his lifetime appear as a movie and according to that one become terrified or be happy while feeling a great comfort..
