Miss Prasani Imanthi from Negombo –Kurana with Mr. Shedric Cramer from Kaunayake, started their married life on 30th August 2019 joining hands in matrimony, giving an example to the entire world.
Both of them displayed, especially to Christians on how to take measures on an occasion such as this, while reminding the entire world on the teaching of Christ.
According to the teaching of Christ mentioned in the 14th chapter of the Gospel of Luke “When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and cannot repay you”, His Holiness the Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso explained the details during one of His sermons, that in any feast, hold it for the people who are vulnerable, hold it for those who suffer neglected from the society.
According to the explanation of His Holiness the Apostle, Friday, August 30th morning at Negombo, the new couple entered to matrimony amidst 70 elders at Dunagaha Elders Home who lives alone, vulnerable and sickly, expelled from their houses.
Through sanctifying the new couple, Cedric Cramer and Prasani Imanthi, and through interchanging the rings and necklace with countless successful advice for the new life, they were entered to matrimony by His Holiness the Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso. It is a God blessing for the new couple that His Holiness traveled to Dunagaha Elders Home from Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine solely for this occasion.
A delicious feast was arranged for seventy elders reside at the Elders Home to eat, drink and be joyous for their hearts’ desire as well as pleasing music bringing ease to the mind was also arranged. It is a specialty that even His Holiness the Apostle joined the new couple with great joy to offer food to the vulnerable elders.
The new couple offered presents for all vulnerable elders who live their elderly life alone away from children’s love and it was another specialty that His Holiness the Apostle joined the new couple to offer presents.
