His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso is the Second Holy Apostle who was chosen and appointed by Lord Jesus Christ by appearing in person in this world. He is the Only Apostle, who is presently living in this world.
63 years ago, His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, saw the light of the day precisely at 12 midnight on 1st February, at a private hospital in Negombo. His parents were Mr. & Mrs. G. C. Aponso, who was affluent businessman of the area.
Holy Apostle, who inherited an enormous wealth, does not use devotees’ offerings for His personal sustenance even today. In addition to it, His Holiness The Apostle spends His own money on common activities of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
The Governing Board of the Shrine has organized a Grand Ceremony to extend their wishes to His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso on the occasion of His 63rd birthday which falls on Sunday 2nd February this year.
This birthday ceremony will be held at 6pm on Sunday 2nd February in Holy Apostles’ Peter and Paul Garden of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine with the assistance of devotees who love Him and who lead their lives in accordance with His teachings.
At this birthday ceremony, which is to be held with the participation of His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, the Governing Board of the Shrine, together with devotees who love Him, has made all arrangements to sing a wide repertoire of melodious songs to the accompaniment of tuneful music in honour of His Holiness The Apostle and to entertain all with delicious food and drinks. The Governing Board of the Shrine cordially invites all to take part in this colourful ceremony irrespective of racial or religious differences. (Please be present at the Shrine by 5.30pm)
