To which Denomination does Christ belong to? What is the Religion of Jesus Christ? – His Holiness the Apostle raises two questions
“45 years ago, a day as today, which was February 7th, 1975 around 6.30 in the evening, in this place (Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, Sri lanka) Jesus Christ appeared in person to choose an Apostle for the second time and chose an Apostle, and established His Most Sacred Footprints, and left us, and today, at this moment we commemorate that incident. When speaking on Christ coming to the earth for the second time to appoint an Apostle, the fact that it has already happened for the first time enlighten this second incident. If somehow this incident, the incident happened 45 years ago, was the first incident and not the second, it would be much harder for us to explain the facts and reasons. If this is the condition today during this second occasion, if there wasn’t a prior incident, how difficult it would be for the Christians today to understand?”
His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso reflected the above, commencing His Homily at the Festive High Mass conducted in the Apparition Church of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine on 7th February 2020.
Commemorating the Anniversary of completing 45 years since His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso received the Most Sacred Apostleship from the sacred hands of Jesus Christ, this Festive High Mass was conducted amidst the devotees who enlighten their lives through the Homilies, reflected by His Holiness The Apostle.
Furthermore addressing the gathered devotees, His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso quoted an extract taken from the first letter written to the Corinthians by His Holiness Paul the Apostle, who was the first Apostle appointed by Jesus appearing in this world.
”Am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord? If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 9/1-2)
His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso said, through these words mentioned in His Holiness Paul the Apostle’s letter, everyone receives a deep message, and if you have the wisdom the message can be understood. He further stated that He is expecting to explain these couple of sentences and invited devotees to reflect on this statement with an investigative mind.
Remaining in a Standing position next to the precise spot where Jesus Christ appeared in person in the Apparition Church of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine 45 years ago, His Holiness the Apostle further reflected the following.
“At the beginning, His Holiness the Apostle Paul say, “Am I not free?” An Apostle is a Free Person. Today, you listened to the words of Jesus Christ through the Holy Scriptures. An Apostle is separated even from the world. It means an Apostle is not a person belonging to anything, any gang, any group or enslaved to anyone”. “Therefore, an Apostle is not a person belonging to any Christian denomination. Christians living in the present world belong to different denominations. They are followers of various denominations. In those different denominations, there are various beliefs. There are various beliefs on the Holy Eucharist, various beliefs on Mother Mary, various beliefs on Life after Death and various beliefs on being born to the world. The priests of those Christian denominations teach their followers, beliefs authorized by the leaders of those Christian denominations”.
His Holiness the Apostle Paul, who was the first Apostle appointed by Jesus Christ appearing in this world after His Ascension, was killed in 65 A.D. based on the same incident. When His Holiness Paul the Apostle was living as a Jew named Saul, he was chosen as an Apostle by Jesus Christ at Damascus, Syria. He was killed by decapitation, because he was preaching while publically witnessing the apparition of Christ. His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, who was appointed by Jesus Christ appearing at Katunayake, Sri Lanka on 1975 February 7th, 1910 years after that incident; still lives among us. Reflecting the Homily of the Festive High Mass of 45th Anniversary of this Most Sacred occasion, celebrated on 7th February 2020 evening, which was another divine occasion for those who have merits to listen to His sacred voice; our Apostle, who lives among us proclaimed as follows.
“In Sri Lankan exams, there are two question papers on Christianity. One is Catholicism and the other is Christianity. Now in which paper there are questions on Christianity or the gospel preached by Jesus Christ? In G.C.E O/L paper last year, people who belong to various religions wrote answers on the same day at the same time. For Buddhism, there was only one paper. For Hinduism, there was only one paper. For Islam, there was only one paper. For Christianity, there were two question papers for Catholicism and for Christianity. Therefore, either one of these two is true or both are false. Is my argument correct? One is true. Both cannot be true. If so, one question paper is enough. Or else, there is no Christianity in both of these question papers or one question paper contains Christianity while the other doesn’t. Then there is a problem. An Apostle can reveal or explain the truth or falseness in both of these question papers, because an Apostle is a Free Person. If an Apostle belongs to one Christian denomination, He has to tell what is taught by the leader of that denomination. He will have to tell either truth or lies; He has to tell only one among the two.
His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso who reflected His Homily for 58 minutes raised a question on “To which Denomination does Christ belong to?” and through the next question raised along with it “What is the Religion of Jesus Christ?” He gave a new start for the devotees to think anew while mystifying all of them.
Even though there are many positions for a person living in this world can gain through human hands, the Most Sacred status, a person living in this world can receive by Jesus Christ before his death is the Most Sacred “Apostleship”. The fourteenth person in this world, consecrated with this Most Sacred position is, His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso.
