I noted these lines of words in my facebook account on last 16th April at 9.45pm. Out of those who saw that, few were able to identify the person whom I was referring to, but were wondering how this meeting took place when an island wide curfew was in force. But many of them could not understand what I have noted. Yet, few of them who spoke to me over the phone inquired whom I met when an island wide curfew was in force, to consider as the most precious person in my life. Therefore, I thought, I should disclose the details of that moment on behalf of all of them. I note below that pleasant moment.
On last 16th April around 8.30pm, when an island wide curfew was in force, I went to a ATM center located on Colombo – Negombo main road in Seeduwa to withdraw some cash and after withdrawing cash, when I was about to sit on my motorbike, I saw a motor vehicle, which was heading towards Colombo at little high speed on Colombo – Negombo main road which was without vehicles at that moment, reversing and stopping near me. When I saw the motor vehicle I recognized at once. The person who was in the motor vehicle is the most precious noble person in my life, who was at that moment traveling towards Colombo. He was none other than Our Loving Most Holy Apostle His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso. We are unable to visit Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine since there is an ongoing curfew in the country for a period of close upon to a month, and due to stringent measures implemented by our health authorities. Meanwhile, How I am express meeting His Holiness The Apostle, who had seen me and had recognized me on the road side & coming towards me at an unexpected moment, in an unexpected manner?
By putting the shutters down in His motor vehicle, Holy Apostle spoke to me for about ten minutes with pleasant words, mixed with humour as usual. The moment I saw Him was a pleasant moment than I usually see Him at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine. When the entire world is observing silence, and since I was mentally relieved when I was able to converse with a Holy Apostle for few moments on the road side of Colombo – Negombo main road, which is usually congested but has now become deserted due to ongoing island wide curfew. I noted the following words to express my joy when I reached home around 9.30pm. “The Joy generating when meeting the most precious person in the life, whom cannot be seen easily, and whom cannot be easily meet to speak” It is as it is.
