The 63rd Birthday celebration of His Holiness The Apostolic Father Rohan Lalith Aponso, organized by His devoted followers, was held in Holy Apostles Peter & Paul Garden of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, in the evening on 2nd February 2020. The highlight of the event, which was attended by His Holiness The Apostolic Father, was the singing of hymns composed by His devotees themselves. It is commendable that these hymns were composed, based on the Homilies of His Holiness Apostolic Father, by the devotees who have listened to His Homilies.
The song, which was first sung had been composed by the Apostolic Media Spokesman Mr. Sashika Vishan. Responding to a query by the announcer at this birthday celebration, Mr. Sashika Vishan, speaking on the backdrop of the song he penned, said this song was composed in year 2018 by him after listening to the Homilies of His Holiness The Apostolic Father Rohan Lalith Aponso.
Explaining the back-story of the song, one of the highlights he revealed was that the song was based on a very specific thing that His Holiness The Apostolic Father Rohan Lalith Aponso has reflected some time ago.
At the age of eight, His Holiness The Apostolic Father Rohan Lalith Aponso had declared that He came to this world for a special purpose. Mr. Sashika Vishan had got to know this story from the late Mrs. Margret Aponso, the mother of His Holiness Apostolic Father, while she was among the living.
The Apostolic Media Spokesman Mr. Sashika Vishan stated that, as His Holiness The Apostolic Father Rohan Lalith Aponso Himself declared later publically, He has come to this world from the 3rd place in Heaven, few seconds before reaching the 2nd place in Heaven, for a special task assigned by the God. The Apostolic Media Spokesman Mr. Sashika Vishan further said that he composed this song based on such facts on the unique birth of His Holiness The Apostolic Father.
His Holiness The Apostolic Father Rohan Lalith Aponso, who has come to this world, in this era, as a unique Spiritual Leader, has revealed the universal secrets from time to time through His Homilies and this song “uthumek mē lō ipadīlā” (A Noble Person has been born into this world) is based on some of such universal secrets, revealed by His Holiness The Apostolic Father, said Mr. Sashika Vishan.
The renowned vocalist Sanka Dineth, who composed the melody of this song, made a statement at this ceremony before he sang this song in front of His Holiness The Apostolic Father Rohan Lalith Aponso. He said he had learned much about His Holiness Apostolic Father, but this is the first time that he has ever seen him, and he has generated positive thoughts from all the things that have come to his mind. He further said he composed the melody of this song in order to get out of this song the way he, as an ordinary man, feels the joy and happiness of the people when someone special has come into this world through such positive thoughts.
