Face book, which is thus far leading in the electronic media, is a well known social media among many people. When we consider the virtuous and evil impact, generating from facebook, which has affected, and which is affecting the society, we could certainly say, the evil impact, generating from facebook, has a far greater effect on the society. Today, what is happening is, people, who create posts in facebook, make use of it to plant evil things to the society. Sri Lanka Police had to request parents to totally stop allowing school children to use facebook since facebook has thus far become a social media, suitable for adults.
In the mean time, Miss Manoji Samanka Dias of Ja-Ela carried out a pleasant thing. During the period when all citizens were confined to their residences as a result of imposing an island wide curfew due to Corona epidemic, Miss Manoji Dias, gave wide publicity through facebook to His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso’s teachings and messages, creating various posts, to direct the society onto the virtuous path.
As a result of Director of Apostolic Media Mr. Manoj Chinthaka briefing His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso on these factors, His Holiness decided to present the Apostolic Blessing Certificate to Miss Manoji Dias. Accordingly, at the monthly meeting held on Sunday evening 26th July 2020, at Holy Apostles’ Peter & Paul garden of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, it was a remarkable event that the Apostolic Blessing Certificate was presented to Miss Manoji Dias, by His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso Himself.
When the island wide curfew was imposed as a result of Corona epidemic, the Director of Apostolic Media Networks Mr. Manoj Chinthaka took steps to release a short message of His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso daily, to the social media. Miss Manoji Samanka Dias, the only daughter of Justice of Peace & Deshabandu Mr. M. J. Dias & Mrs. Dias, who earned His Holiness The Apostle’s praise for taking a massive effort day & night to spread those messages of His Holiness to the society through facebook social media, received the Apostolic Blessing Certificate from His Holiness The Apostle Himself when her parents were looking with tears filled eyes.
