His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso the only living Apostle in today’s world who has received the Most Sacred Apostleship proudly celebrated His 46th Anniversary of the Apostolic Consecration on 7th February 2021 at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine is the first and only Shrine in Sri Lanka where the most Blessed Virgin Mother Mary made Her appearance in person for twenty-three times. The Holy Apostle celebrated the 46th Anniversary of His significant fortune, the Most Sacred Apostleship, by conducting the Festive High Mass in the evening of 7th February in the Apparition Church, where Jesus Christ has appeared. This significant celebration took place in the midst of a large number of devotees from various parts of the country who had gathered at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
The Most Sacred Place of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine is the Apparition Church. Jesus Christ made His appearance in person in this Apparition Church at about 6.30 pm on Friday 7th February 1975 in front of His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso to consecrate Him to the Most Sacred Apostleship.
When Jesus Christ was alive on earth, He appointed twelve Jews as Apostles. After the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and after His ascension, which took place forty days thereafter, Jesus Christ appeared in this world and chose His Holiness Paul as the thirteenth Apostle. After that, the second Apostle, who was chosen by Jesus Christ by making His appearance in person, and the fourteenth in the lineage of Apostles, is His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso who is still living in Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, Sri Lanka. The forty-sixth anniversary of Apostolic Consecration of His Holiness The Apostle completed on Sunday 7th February 2021. It was celebrated in a very solemn manner by His followers who love Him dearly and who are reforming their lives according to His admonitions.

When the facts remain the same, the Apostle, who was chosen by the second appearance of Jesus Christ was not a Jew, but the first Sri Lankan.
In the evening of Sunday 7th February 2021, our fourteenth Holy Apostle, offered the Festive High Mass to commemorate this most sacred and noble astonishing miracle performed by Jesus Christ. It was conducted very close to the precise spot where Jesus Christ made His appearance in person in the Apparition Church of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
