The organizing office of the Liturgical Celebrations of the Holy Apostle has issued a communiqué detailing this week’s Easter Liturgical Ceremonies, which will be officiated by His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso.
According to the communiqué, the Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated on 1st April at 6pm in Holy Apostles’ Peter & Paul Garden of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
The celebration of the Lord’s Passion, officiated by the Holy Apostle will be held on Good Friday, 2nd April at 3pm in the Apparition Church of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
The Easter Sunday Holy Mass of the Lord’s Resurrection, officiated by the Holy Apostle will commence at 6pm on 4th April in the Apparition Church of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
Devotees should kindly observe health regulations implemented by the Government due to prevailing pandemic situation.
The Rosary Recital, which is being held monthly at the foot of the Miraculous Statue of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, will not be held on Saturday 3rd April (the day after Good Friday) and the Miraculous Statue of Our Lady of Katunayake will not be established on that day in front of the people.
The Rosary Recital, which should be held in the month of April, will be offered on Saturday 10th April 6pm at the foot of the Miraculous Statue of Most Blessed Virgin Mother.
