“Lord Jesus Christ loves us immensely. We feel it very much, before the Holy Cross. Due to the immense love, Lord Jesus Christ has towards us; he shed his last drop of blood before he sacrificed his life for us. The last wealth which was left to him was the Motherly Love of his Mother, the Blessed Mother Mary. In fact, Lord Jesus Christ knows very well the taste of the Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary since he has a right for the Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary, because He is the Only Son of Blessed Mother Mary. Therefore, that Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary which Lord Jesus Christ only knows, and that Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary which Lord Jesus Christ has a right, and that Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary which was left to him as his last wealth, was finally granted to us before he took his last breath on the Cross. The final gift which we have received from Lord Jesus Christ is the Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary”. The Most Holy Apostolic Father, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, reflected the above, on Saturday, 16th October 2010, at Our Lady’s Katunayake’s Shrine.
At the conclusion of the Festive Mass, which was celebrated on that day to commemorate the Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary, the Most Holy Apostolic Father, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, further reflected the following when he addressed the devotees and the pilgrims. “The Love of Lord Jesus Christ comes to us through the Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary. Lord Jesus Christ mixed the Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary with his Love when he showed his Love to us while he was on the Cross. Lord Jesus Christ would have remembered that the Last and the Most Valuable Gift which he could grant to us is the Motherly Love of His Mother. Nevertheless, are we worthy, to receive that Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary? The most suitable person to receive the Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary is Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Even though he granted the Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary to us, Are we suitable, to receive the Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary? And even though we receive the Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary unfailingly, before her, Are we her, true sons and daughters? Or Are we her, disobedient sons and daughters? Think about this wisely. It is our duty, to make ourselves worthy, to receive the Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary”.
The Only Statue of Blessed Virgin Mary in the world, Dressed with the Most Sacred Rosary, which was taken to Her Divine Arms, is at Sri Lanka’s Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine. At the conclusion of the Festive Mass, which was celebrated on this day to commemorate the Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary, the Most Holy Apostolic Father, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, blessed the people from the Miraculous Statue of Blessed Virgin Mary. Devotees and pilgrims who arrived from various places participated in the Festive Mass, which was celebrated to commemorate the Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary.
The Most Holy Apostolic Father, before he granted the blessing from the Miraculous Statue of Blessed Virgin Mary, further reflected the following to the devotees and to the pilgrims who converged at this Festive Mass. “Nothing surpasses the Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary. The Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary made our lives tasteful; The Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary protected our lives. The Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary, infused blood to our lives. The Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary always assisted our lives. Even though today, we expressed our gratitude for the Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary, through a Festive Mass, nevertheless, everyday, we are receiving the Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary. Therefore, from the moment we wake up in the morning and up to the moment we retire to the bed, we should always remember the Motherly Love of Blessed Mother Mary”.
