In this year too, the Apparition Church of the Most Miraculous Shrine of Katunayake, where Most Blessed Virgin Mother Mary made Her appearance in person for Twenty- Three Times, was overfilled with fragrance of Jasmine on Saturday evening 9th October. Subsequently, the fragrance of Jasmine was spreading to the Shrine Ground also.
The Apparition Church was overfilled with fragrance of Jasmine for the 1st time on Saturday evening 27th July 2019. On that day, 43 years completed for the apparitions of Most Blessed Virgin Mary together with Baby Jesus in front of His Holiness The Apostle Rohan LalithAponso. At that moment, many devotees, who arrived from various provinces to offer their prayers in front of the Statue of Blessed Mother, were present at the Shrine. Therefore, they also became fortunate to receive the opportunity to feel this sweet fragrance of Jasmine.
A lovely Statue, sculptured to resemble Most Blessed Virgin Mary carrying Baby Jesus on Her left arm, is established right above the Main Altar of the Apparition Church. fragrance of Jasmine, emanating from that Statue is truly, a powerful Miracle, performed by the Most Blessed Mother.
The Apparition Church and the Shrine Ground was overfilled with fragrance of Jasmine, as a result of the commencement of emanating fragrance of Jasmine continuously from the Statue of Most Blessed Virgin Mother Mary carrying Baby Jesus, established right above the Main Altar of the Apparition Church.
This most significant Miracle took place once again for the 2nd Time on Saturday, 3rd October last year (2020) and in the same way; it took place in this year (2021) too, on Saturday 9th October.
