The Apparition Church of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine or the Heart of the Most Blessed Virgin Mother Mary’s most Miraculous Ground, where She made Her apparition in person for Twenty Three Times, was built on a request of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary Herself. The Statue of Blessed Virgin Mary carrying Baby Jesus in Her left hand, sculptured to resemble Her apparition together with Baby Jesus in front of our Most Holy Apostle His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, is established right above the Main Altar of the Apparition Church. This Miraculous Statue of Blessed Mother began to perform a Miraculous Spectacle by emanating Jasmine aroma miraculously for the 4th time on Saturday evening 20th August 2022. It took place in front of the devotees, who assembled in the Sacred Ground after arriving from various provinces to take part in the Miraculous Prayer Recital. In fact, this is the 4th time this Miraculous Spectacle took place in the Apparition Church itself.

Jasmine aroma began to emanate for the 1st time on Saturday 27th July 2019 from the Statue of Most Blessed Virgin Mary carrying Baby Jesus in Her left hand which is established in the Apparition Church. On that day it took place in front of the devotees who assembled in that evening. Thereafter, this extraordinary Miraculous Spectacle took place for the 2nd time on Saturday evening 3rd October 2020 and this Miraculous Spectacle took place for the 3rd time on Saturday 9th October 2021 evening. On Saturday evening 20th August 2022, this most Miraculous Spectacle took place for the 4th time. In all these occasions, devotees were fortunate to feel this sweet Jasmine aroma which was emanating from the Statue of Most Blessed Mother since they assembled in the Shrine after arriving from various provinces.

This extraordinary Miraculous Spectacle took place to substantiate the Most Blessed Virgin Mary is directing Her gaze, constantly at Her children who arrives at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine. Devotees offered their thankfulness to the Most Blessed Mother with tears of joy since this extraordinary Miraculous Spectacle, which took place in all four occasions, took place while they assembled in the Shrine.

Devotees, who entered the Apparition Church on Saturday evening 20th August, knelt in front of the Main Statue of Our Lady of Katunayake which was emanating Jasmine aroma, and offered their petitions to the Most Blessed Mother with tears of joy, who made Her live presence. Some devotees were seen going on their knees across the Apparition Church with utmost affection to the most loving Blessed Mother, who made Her live presence in front of their own eyes.
