A note published on 25th February, by the Office of the Liturgical Celebrations of the Holy Apostolic Father announces that this year’s Feast of the Holy Cross will be celebrated on Saturday 09th April, in the Apparition Church of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
A Special High Mass for the Honour and Glory of the Holy Cross will be celebrated in the Apparition Church of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine in the evening of 9th April, at 4.00 pm. The High Holy Mass will be presided over by the Most Holy Apostolic Father, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso.
At the end of this High Holy Mass, the General Public will be allowed to venerate the Miraculous Statue of the Holy Cross which belongs to Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine. People will be able to view and to venerate this Miraculous Statue of Holy Cross only once a year. They will also receive an opportunity not only to see Glorious Miraculous Signs from this Holy Cross, but also to obtain Help and abundant Graces.
