Most Holy Apostolic Father His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso recently donated one month requirement of food items to all students of a school in Bangladesh. These school children from low-income earning families were studying under various difficulties. Therefore, other than these food items, sanitary ware for the school and school stationeries for the students was also distributed under the sponsorship of His Holiness the Apostolic Father.
This donation of the Most Holy Apostolic Father His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, was channeled through District 315 B1 branch of International Lions Club in Dhaka, Bangladesh. His Holiness the Apostolic Father selected Ma Haad School in Dhaka’s Uttara village for his donation.
Mr. Sashika Vishan, the Media Spokesman of the Apostolic Media Networks was in Bangladesh recently to handover this massive donation of the Holy Apostolic Father. He presented the cheque for this donation to the Governor of District 315 B1 branch and the Chief of International Members Division, Mr. Nuzmul Haq. This event was held in a leading hotel in Dhaka.
Speaking at this event, Mr. Nuzmul Haq commended the humanity of the Most Holy Apostolic Father His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, and to symbolize his respect to the Holy Apostolic Father, he handed over a souvenir of the International Lions Club to Mr. Sashika Vishan and requested him to present it to His Holiness the Apostolic Father. Mr. Joseph (Joe) Perestein, the International Governor of the Lions Club handed over a Sannasa to Mr. Sashika Vishan as a token of gratitude to the Holy Apostolic Father for his highly valuable donation and requested Mr. Sashika Vishan to present it to His Holiness the Apostolic Father.
A ceremony, organized by Mr. Nuzmul Haq, was held on 8th October 2015, to distribute this donation of the Most Holy Apostolic Father His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso. This ceremony was attended by various dignitaries comprising teachers of Ma Haad School, representatives of Bangladesh government and Lion members of Dhaka’s District 315 B1 branch. All those who were present at the ceremony expressed their gratitude to the Holy Apostolic Father and thanked him immensely. Parents of the students of this school, who attended this event, commended His Holiness the Apostolic Father with tears filled eyes for his generous gesture for the well-being of their children.
