A cuddlesome little girl came up before His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso during the General audience held in Sts. Peter & Paul garden of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, on Saturday evening 23rd January 2016. This cuddlesome little girl, after she came up before the Most Holy Apostle, was conversing with him affectionately as if he is well known to her. At that moment, the Holy Apostle was asking various things from this little girl for about 30 minutes and enjoying himself as if he has also become a little child for a short while.
This little girl came up before the Holy Apostle along with her parents and her only sister and only brother.
Mr. Venerius Fernando & Mrs. Selvin Fernando of Munnakkara, Negombo, are the parents of this little girl. This couple along with their 3 children came up before the Holy Apostle on that day to receive his blessing for their 22nd wedding anniversary.
This couple, entered into the wedded life on 27th January 1994, and their wedding Mass was celebrated in the Apparition Church of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, by His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso.
Mr. Venerius Fernando is the most senior security officer in the Apostolic Security Division. As a ritual, this couple used to come before the Most Holy Apostle once a year, on the day of their wedding anniversary, to receive his blessing for their family.
