His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso completed 41 years of his journey as an Apostle, on 7th February 2016.
A General Audience was held at the conclusion of Rosary Vespers, which was conducted in the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake on Sunday evening, 7th February 2016, to celebrate the 41st Apostolic Consecration Anniversary of the Most Holy Apostle His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso. On 7th February evening, in the year of 1975, Apostle Aponso was consecrated to the Most Sacred Apostleship by Lord Jesus Christ Himself by appearing before him, in person. At this General Audience, Mr. Sashika Vishan, the Media Spokesman of the Apostolic See, presented a precious gift to His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso. This gift was indeed not only a precious one but also a very nice one. It was a gift, which should be presented to the Holy Apostle on the day of such a sacred anniversary.
The gift was a picture, which portrays the sacred face of Lord Jesus Christ. 41 years ago, His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso was consecrated to the Most Sacred Apostleship by Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Yet, this picture was not drawn by using any kind of ink. It was studded with several tiny gem stones. That is why we mentioned before that this was a precious and a nice gift. This painting was indeed a fine creation. Gem stone dust had been spread on the painting to resemble the skin of Lord Jesus Christ.
His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso would have been very happy to receive this kind of a gift on the day of such a sacred anniversary. Apostle Aponso also did not forget to inquire further about this image from Mr. Sashika Vishan.
These photos herein show Mr. Sashika Vishan, the Media Spokesman of the Apostolic See, presenting a image, which portrays the sacred face of Lord Jesus Christ made out of several tiny gem stones, to His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, during the General Audience, held in the evening of 7th February 2016
