12 Apostles were chosen by Lord Jesus Christ when he was living in this world. Later on, after a brief period from the time of his death and his ascension, Christ appointed another Apostle by appearing in person, in this world. Apostle Paul was the Apostle who was appointed at that occasion. This Appearance of Lord Jesus Christ took place in the City of Damascus in Syria. By that time, Judas Iscariot, who was a member of his group of 12 Apostles, has committed suicide. Hence we have to especially pay our attention to the point that Lord Jesus Christ, choosing another Apostle, by appearing in person, in this world, while the other 11 Apostles were among the living .
During this period, where you and me living, Lord Jesus Christ Once Again, appeared in this world, in person and appointed another Apostle for the 2nd occasion . Christ made this Appointment at a time when there was not a single Apostle living on this earth. Certainly, we ourselves could at least understand this. 2000 years have been passed since world was not having an Apostle. Yet, what is now remaining is, the 02 Tombs of the Apostles, who were chosen by Lord Jesus Christ, by using aforementioned two methods. That means, appointing Apostles, while he was living in this world and appointing Apostles, by appearing in this world. Therefore, we prayed, sang songs and hymns, requesting ‘Christ to come back’ to this world once again, since we understood what has now happened to his Gospel, which he himself has given to the world, by sacrificing his own life. Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled our request by giving us his own Vicar. That means by giving us an Apostle. He is, His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, who was consecrated as an Apostle, by Lord Jesus Christ Himself, by appearing in person, in this world, on 7th February 1975, at the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake, in Sri Lanka. His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso is the One and Only Apostle, who was appointed for this entire Universe and who is presently among the living.
Other than this Apostle, His Holiness Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, there is no other single Apostle who is presently living in this world, who has seen Lord Jesus Christ to his own eyes and who has received this Divine appointment from him. Apostles who received this Divine appointment were subsequently assassinated and only their Apostolic Tombs are now remaining.
