Blessed Mother helps them irrespective of race, religious or any other differences. Therefore, Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine is known today, as the ‘Miraculous Shrine’ among the people. Certainly, the moment when the ‘Miraculous Prayer’ to the Mother of God is recited every Saturday evening at this Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake and the precise moment when devotees insert their painful requests in the form of letters into the ‘Red Box’, is truly, a moment as if Heaven and Earth are joining together. This ‘Most Sacred Moment’ gives that much of feeling and at that precise moment, certain devotees feel that somebody is silently listening to their requests. That is a symbol of what they say in their heart, reaching the Mother of God.

On 11th February 1975, She declared Her desire to distribute God’s privileges to those who participate in the Liturgical Celebrations of His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, in Faith.
