Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine is coming under the jurisdiction of Seeduwa Police Station. Recently, the Officer-in-Charge of Seeduwa Police Station, Chief Inspector Mr. Manju Lalith Wickramasinghe bade farewell to Seeduwa Police Station, and was appointed to the Police area of Beliatta, where he assumed duties as the new Officer-in-Charge of Beliatta Police Station.
There was a ceremony for the induction of Chief Inspector, Mr. Manju Lalith Wickramasinghe as the Officer-in-Charge of Beliatta Police Station, for which the Apostolic Media Director, Mr. Manoj Chinthaka was invited, as the representative of the Seeduwa Police Area.
A unique gift was sent by His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso through the Apostolic Media Director, Mr. Manoj Chinthaka. His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso gave instructions to the Apostolic Media Director, Mr. Manoj Chinthaka, to hand over His gift along with His best wishes to Mr. Wickramasinghe as soon as he assumes duties as the Officer-in-Charge of Beliatta Police Station. This was carried out by Mr. Manoj Chinthaka as instructed by His Holiness The Apostle.
The unique gift sent by His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso to the new Officer-in-Charge of Beliatta Police Station, Chief Inspector Mr. Manju Lalith Wickramasinghe, was a precious Buddha Statue.
Chief Inspector, Mr. Manju Lalith Wickramasinghe was highly pleased with the gift of the Buddha Statue, sent by a person of a stature, as His Holiness The Apostle, for such an occasion. The Chief Inspector Mr. Wickramasinghe is an ardent Buddhist. Police personnel of various ranks who were present at this ceremony, were not only highly pleased and surprised, but appreciated as well for sending a gift of a Buddha Statue by a person of a stature, as His Holiness The Apostle.
