Praise Be to All Mighty God, Lord Jesus Christ! Praise Be to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Our Lady of Katunayake. Glory Be to His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, the Holy Apostolic Father, who was chosen and appointed as an Apostle, by Lord Jesus Christ Himself, by appearing in this world.
I thought that I was the most unfortunate woman in this world. There were reasons for me to think like that. I thought even the God has deserted me. There were plenty of reasons for me to think like that, as well. Yet, today, I am writing this letter in a very happy mood thinking that I am the Most Fortunate woman in this world. I only had to handover 10 letters, in tears, stating my plight to the Only Apostle in the world, who is residing at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine. Yet, today, I write this letter not in tears but in a very happy mood.
I got married when I was 22 years old. It was a marriage that was arranged through a proposal put forward by my parents. My husband is a kind hearted person than me. He is a pious person, as well. Yet, there was a misery shadowing our lives. We were unfortunate because we were not having children. Both of us were highly disappointed about this. Several doctors gave us advises and we had to face several medical tests. The final outcome of all these was the same. That means I will not get conceive due to a weakness in my womb. Due to this my husband did not insult me. He always said we have to bow our heads to the will of God. But the society always insulted me. Doctors advised us to consider legally adopting a child.
In the meantime we went to various churches and made vows. But we did not get any help. One day, people who are carrying the Holy Bible in their armpits, came to our house and were having a conversation with us. During the conversation, they came to know the problems we are facing and one person placed his hand on my fore head and said some prayers. He told me that I will get cured within 3 months and will get conceive but for that to happen to do this as the 1st step. That was to blow out the oil lamp which was placed in front of the Statue of Blessed Virgin Mary, immediately, and to break the Statue of Blessed Mother Mary. They also told us several stories, defaming the Blessed Mother. We believed their arguments and did what exactly they told us to do. That means with the permission of my husband, we blew out the oil lamp and dashed the statue of Blessed Mother Mary on the ground. Subsequently, they told us that salvation has reached our house at that very moment itself and started to say prayers, loudly.
Even though we were born Catholics, they told us to come to their church on the following week. When we went there on the following week, they baptized both of us and told us that they will definitely solve our burning problem within 3 months. We did all these things with the intention of having a child of our own. Even though, we attended their Bible services every Sundays for a period of 5 months, yet, we did not receive any relief, but they told us to attend their Bible services constantly.
In the meantime, we got to know about the Shrine of Our Lady of Katunayake, where the Blessed Virgin Mary appears and wonderfully grants help and graces. We got to know more information about the Shrine by visiting its website.
Therefore, once again, we turned ourselves to Mother of God by keeping everything onto a side and began to participate in the Holy Services at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine from the following Saturday onwards. Yet, it was very painful for both of us to look at the huge statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is placed in the Shrine Ground because when we look at it, we remembered how we dashed her statue on the ground, 05 months ago.
When we came to the Shrine, we met the Inquiries Officer of the Shrine Office and got to know the details of Holy Services, which are being held every Saturday evenings, at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
The day we went there was a day of reciting the Holy Rosary to the Blessed Mother Mary, in candle light. On that day the Holy Apostolic Father delivered a Homily that raised our sinful hearts, once again, towards the Blessed Mother. On that day we felt that the prayers which were recited by the Holy Apostolic Father and the recitation of the Holy Rosary pierced our hearts.
On that day we bought two Rosaries and two statues of Lord Jesus Christ and Blessed Mother Mary from the Religious Articles Center of the Shrine. We got them blessed by the Holy Apostolic Father. We also took Holy Angels blessing oil and Holy Angels blessing incense. When we went home, we once again placed the two statues and lit the oil lamp with Holy Angels blessing oil. We burned the Holy Angels blessing incense, as well and once again, came back to the most powerful path of the Blessed Mother Mary.
When we began to light the oil lamp with Holy Angels blessing oil and when we began to burn the Holy Angels blessing incense, we noticed that an unusual, pleasant and a blessed atmosphere was prevailing in our home. Even the visitors who came to our house noticed this. We felt that we have got the Genuine Place to seek solace of the Blessed Mother. My husband told me that I will definitely get cured at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine and that we will definitely have a child of our own. I also believed in the same way.
By this time we have completed our 10thwedding anniversary and I was 32 years old. From the following Saturday onwards, we began to handover our request letters to the Holy Apostolic Father, stating our burning problem. We were determined to handover our request letters to the Holy Apostolic Father until such time we have a child of our own because we were dreaming about a child of our own for the last 10 years and we believed that our dreams will become a reality, at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, through the blessed intercession of the Holy Apostolic Father. We were also lighting the oil lamp with Holy Angels blessing oil and were burning the Holy Angels blessing incense, every morning and evening, to fill our house with the blessings of the Holy Angels.
Even though, it was confirmed that I will not conceive a child due to a weakness in my womb, there were signs that I have conceived. That was after two and a half months since we started every Saturdays, to participate in the Holy Services of the Holy Apostolic Father, at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine. By that time both of us have handed over our 10th request letter to the Holy Apostolic Father.
Subsequently, I informed this to the Inquiries Officer of the Shrine and he told me to handover the earlier medical reports about my illness and the medical reports which confirmed that I have been conceived. Later on we handed over those reports. At the time when we handed over those reports, the Inquiries Officer of the Shrine further told us to handover necessary medical reports to confirm that I have delivered a child.
We promised to handover that and from there onwards, both of us handed over letters requesting the Holy Apostolic Father to give us a healthy son or a daughter through his powerful blessed intercession.
I gave birth to a healthy daughter in the morning of 12th July 2011. This happened due to the blessed intercession of the Holy Apostolic Father, who showed us the powerfulness of the Blessed Mother Mary. Later on, we handed over necessary medical reports to the Inquiries Officer of the Shrine, to prove that the birth of my daughter was a miraculous blessing which took place at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, with the blessed intercession of the Holy Apostolic Father. After going through the necessary medical reports, the Inquiries Officer of the Shrine told me to write my own experience in the form of a letter. Accordingly, I wrote this letter. I specially request to publish this miracle so that the Catholics who have been misled could get reunited, once again, with the Blessed Mother Mary.
Now, I cannot think what to write or from where to start about the Holy Apostolic Father His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, whom we have received. My husband always says that he thinks that Lord Jesus Christ has disguised himself in the form of Holy Apostolic Father and has once again, come to this world. I am also thinking in the same way and I also have to write the same thing.
