The Holy Apostle, who is living at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, in Sri Lanka, helps, when all hopes are shattered
The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared before a child named Bernadette Soubirous,on 11th February 1858 in a village called Lourdes, in France. St. Bernadette, who was fortunate to see the Blessed Virgin Mary, then, was not silent about what she saw to her own eyes. She mentioned about it to others. Due to this, she had to face many obstacles. People accused her saying that she was deceiving and misleading them. She was threatened and was imprisoned. Many people rose against her. Only few of them believed her story. Yet, she went near the Massabielle grotto, where the Blessed Virgin Mary was appearing and prayed, in faith.
Meanwhile, from time to time, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared before St. Bernadette, for 18 occasions. In the meantime, opponents carried out various obstructions and humiliated her and the people who were reaching the place, where the Blessed Mother appears. Nevertheless, people who prayed, in faith, along with St. Bernadette, at the place where the Blessed Mother appears, were able to experience her blessing. Those who went there, in faith, got cured from their illnesses. Nevertheless, the opponents did not receive any help from the Blessed Mother through the intercession of St. Bernadette. Today, St. Bernadette is not among the living. Even though, St. Bernadette faced many obstacles, while she was among the living because she saw the appearances of the Blessed Mother, yet, today, several Churches, Shrines and Grottos have been erected all over the world, to commemorate the appearances, that St. Bernadette has seen in Lourdes. Today, it is the same situation, in our Sri Lanka also.
The Blessed Virgin Mary, who appeared in Lourdes, then, wearing a cassock, white as snow, with a blue cincture around her waist, is today, appearing, likewise, in the city of Katunayake, in Sri Lanka. We have to think whether the people who opposed the appearances of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in Lourdes, then, have once again, come to this world, during this present era. We are compelled to think like that, due to many obstacles this Holy Apostle is facing due to the reason that the Blessed Virgin Mary, appears before him, during this present era.
This Holy Apostle, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponspo, who was fortunate to see the Blessed Virgin Mary, to his own eyes, helps those who reach Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, the One and Only Sri Lankan Shrine, where the Blessed Virgin Mary appears. This Holy Apostle helps them without any differences. Devotees, who are hoping to obtain the Blessed Intercession of this Holy Apostle, are given an opportunity, on every Saturday evenings, to refer their request letters to the Holy Apostle. Yet, devotees do this, willingly. The administrative committee of the Shrine does not force anybody to do that or to visit Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared before the Holy Apostolic Father, for the 1sttime, on 5th February 1975. From there onwards, tens of thousands of devotees, who have visited Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine, in faith, have received the Blessed Intercession of the Holy Apostolic Father. Even though St. Bernadette, to whom the Blessed Virgin Mary, appeared in Lourdes, is not among the living today, this Holy Apostle, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, is presently living among us. He is looking at you. He reads your request letters which you refer to him, on every Saturdays, at Our Lady of Katuanyake’s Shrine, hoping to obtain his Blessed Intercession. Therefore, at a certain moment, he will intercede on behalf of you and will help you.
Now, I am presenting a letter of a person who received the opportunity to obtain the Blessed Intercession of the Holy Apostle. Now, I am ready to present that Story. This Story is about a cure of an illness, miraculously, through the Blessed Intercession of the Holy Apostle, His Holiness, Rohan Lalith Aponso, which surprised, even the doctors. I wish that by reading this Story, may you be able to realize how powerful is the Grace of God, at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
Supposing, if you get to know that the doctors have come to a conclusion that the womb of your daughter has to be removed through an operation, certainly, what would you think as a parent? Supposing, if you get to know that the doctors have come to a conclusion that the womb of your sister has to be removed through an operation, certainly, what would you think as a brother? Supposing, if you get to know that the doctors have come to a conclusion that your womb has to be removed through an operation, certainly, what would you think as a young girl? Today, I am presenting this Story, as a testimony to the Miraculous Blessing that was received through the Blessed Intercession of the Holy Apostle, His Holiness, Rohan Lalith Aponso, at a moment, when there was an uncertain situation, after losing all hope.
Here is the Story of her Glorious Cure
I am a girl of 21 years. Like all the other girls, I also became a big girl. From there onwards, like all the other girls, I was also going through my monthly cycle of menstruation, as usual. Even though it is a common thing, yet, after a period of 3 months, when I went through my monthly cycle of menstruation, it didn’t stop as usual but continued throughout that month. I consulted a lady doctor. Even though this situation became normal after taking her treatments, but even after that, whenever I went through my monthly cycle of menstruation, I was getting a severe stomach pain and a pain in my spine. At that moment I was unable to attend to my usual work. This situation was continuing for 2-3 days. This was happening every month. That means, whenever I went through my monthly cycle of menstruation I was getting a severe pain. In fact, it starts and stops, unexpectedly. This situation became a terrible mental agony to me. To tell you frankly, whenever I knew that I was about to go through my monthly cycle of menstruation, I was getting extremely afraid because of this severe pain.
Meanwhile, when all these were happening like that, I was also well aware about Our Holy Apostolic Father, who is living in this world, who is like a God to us. I was also having a strong faith about the Holy Apostolic Father, who lives at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine and about our beloved Blessed Mother Mary. Therefore, from the time, when I was 5 years old, my parents accompanied me, along with my sister and my brother to receive the blessing of the Holy Apostle, His Holiness, Rohan Lalith Aponso, A Disciple of the Son of the God Almighty. From my younger days onwards, I was well aware of the Holy Apostolic Father and have also experienced the power of his blessing. I have also heard and have also experienced miraculous happenings through his Blessed Intercession.
Whenever I participate in his Holy Services, I have referred various request letters to him and have also obtained lots of help through the Blessed Intercession of this Holy Apostle.
In the meantime, on 23rd August, last year, I went through my monthly cycle of menstruation with a severe stomach pain. Even after a period of 2 weeks, I didn’t get any relief from the pain. Therefore, my father took me to a doctor. The lady doctor who examined me told me that if I am having these complications from a long time, it could be due to a kidney problem. Therefore, immediately, I was taken in for various medical tests. After taking the tests, the doctor told me that the reports do not reflect any illness. Yet, the lady doctor gave me various medicines suspecting various illnesses. But there were no improvement. Therefore, at the end, she told me to get myself admitted to the hospital.
According to the doctor’s advice, I got myself admitted to the hospital. But day by day, my illness got worsened and I could not even sit. Yet, the doctors could not precisely, diagnosis my illness, even after 2 days of admission. Therefore, they carried out several tests. In the meantime, I prayed to the Blessed Mother, in tears filled eyes, pleading her to cure me from this illness. All my family members used to go to Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine on every Saturday evenings, Therefore, on the following week Saturday, while I was in the hospital, all my family members went to Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine and participated in the evening Holy Service which was celebrated by the Holy Apostolic Father. Subsequently, at the end of the evening Holy Service, my sister had written a letter to the Holy Apostolic Father and had inserted it into the letter box, explaining in details, the status of my illness. After they returned home, they came to the hospital to see me. On that day I was taken in for a scan test.
The doctor, who examined me, brought the specialist who examined my scan report. The specialist examined me and told me that there is a cyst in my womb. By this time doctors had given some pain killers to reduce the pain in my stomach and in my spine. After that they further treated me and sent me home.
Subsequently, they referred me to the clinic. In the mean time, I participated in the evening Holy Services of the Holy Apostolic Father and inserted letters into the letter box, requesting him to cure my serious illness. I was very afraid about my illness, because I was having a severe pain. I felt that if my illness is not cured, I might have to face certain problems in the future. Every week, this situation became a problem to me. Therefore, while I was having treatments, I was also participating in the Holy Services of the Holy Apostle. During an evening Holy Service, when the moment dawned for the Blessing from Monstrance with the Blessed Sacrament, I was also kneeling like the other devotees, in faith. When the Holy Apostolic Father raised the Monstrance with the Blessed Sacrament to bless the devotees, at that very moment, I got a severe stomach pain which I didn’t have. I could not stay in the same position. Therefore, I sat down on the floor. I was pleading, in tears filled eyes, to relieve me from this unbearable pain. When the blessing from the Monstrance with the Blessed Sacrament came to an end, my severe pain was gradually going down. After that I didn’t get afraid and after little while, I didn’t also feel any pain.
My next scan test was on the following Monday. That day I didn’t get afraid like the day when I took the 1st scan test. When I entered the scanning room, the same doctor who treated me was there. He examined me and took the scan test and inquired about my illness. After examining me, the doctor examined the scan report and said that there is seems to be no cyst in my womb. He got down the 1st report also and examined it.
Subsequently, the senior lady doctor also joined them and they told her what has happened. She was surprised to hear that. She examined the reports very carefully for 3-4 times and confirmed that there is no cyst in my womb, now.
At that moment, I smiled slightly. Then, Instantly, I remembered Our Holy Apostolic Father and the Blessed Mother Mary who appeared before him. From that day onwards, until today, whenever I go through my monthly cycle of menstruation, I do not feel a similar pain.
I am very happy to mention here that my whole family and I have received this kind of experience from Our Most Holy Apostolic Father and from the Blessed Mother Mary. Every Saturday evenings, we do not fail to participate in the Holy Services, at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine.
His Holiness the Apostolic Father relieves pain and suffering of those, who reach Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine. I have also received his Blessed Intercession. If not, I would have had to face an operation to remove the cyst, which was in my womb. If an operation was performed in my womb, it is certain that I will have a bleak future. Yet, On, One Saturday evening, I was completely cured from my illness, when I received the powerful Blessed Intercession of this Holy Apostle, His Holiness, Rohan Lalith Aponso, after writing a letter to him, about my pain and suffering.
Our whole family is greatly indebted to Our Holy Apostolic Father, forever. Likewise, I believe that not only us but also those who come to him, in faith, will receive his Blessed Intercession and his protection.
